French luxury ship Le Laperouse arrived in Hue on Monday with 106 European tourists, marking the return of international cruise vessels to the central town.
The passengers are mainly from France, Italy, Spain, and Sweden.
They visited the UNESCO heritage site Hue Imperial Citadel and King Minh Mang’s tomb and tried the city’s renowned cuisine.
The five-star Le Laperouse Cruise is operated by Ponant Company.
Before arriving in Hue, the ship had visited Con Dao, HCMC, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, and Da Nang.
It left Indonesia on September 20 after passing through Singapore before arriving in Vietnam.
Vietnam reopened its borders to foreign tourists in March this year.
It has only received 1.87 million foreign visitors so far or 37 percent of its target for the year.
