Tickets for Vietnam’s friendly with Borussia Dortmund in Hanoi next month will cost up to VND1.6 million (US$64.48) a piece.
There are three price stamps for the tickets: VND800,000, VND1.2 million and VND1.6 million. According to the organizers, this is the most suitable number for an exhibition match between Vietnam’s national football team and a top European club.
The tickets will be sold online from Oct. 26 on the VnID app until Nov. 3 or until sold out.
Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said this will be the final friendly of the national team with head coach Park Hang-seo, who has decided to leave after his contract expires in late January next year. However, this is not a testimonial match for Park as he will still coach the team in the 2022 AFF Cup, his last tournament with Vietnam.
Julia Farr, lead Asia Pacific of Dortmund, said the club haven’t announced the list of players to Vietnam as they have to see which will be called up for the 2022 World Cup. However, Dortmund promise to bring the best possible squad to Hanoi.
“Vietnam is an important market for Dortmund. We are excited to bring our first squad to this international friendly. This is also a chance for us to show our admiration and appreciation to coach Park, who has contributed to the success of Vietnam national teams in the past years,” Farr said.
Borussia Dortmund, established in 1909, have won eight Bundesliga titles, a UEFA Champions League and a European Super Cup. Their stadium, Signal Iduna Park, is the largest in Germany.
