Singapore, Hong Kong dominate Asia’s 50 best bars list

Hong Kong’s Leone Bar in Central District was named the best in Asia at a live ceremony held on Tuesday, followed by Seoul’s Zest and Singapore’s Jigger&Pony, according to the annual awards organized by William Reed Business Media, a magazine and digital media company headquartered in the U.K.

Leone opened in early 2023 and became the first representative in history to be named the winner in its first year of operation.

Last year’s winner Coa bar is now fourth.

This year, Seoul has five entries, Bangkok four entries, Kuala Lumpur three and Hanoi one.

There are 18 cities represented in this ninth edition of the awards, with a total of 15 new entries.

The list is based on votes by Asia’s 50 Best Bars Academy, a group of 265 industry professionals that includes bartenders, bar owners, drinks writers, educators and cocktail aficionados.
