Menin attended the announcement of the 2023 Miss Grand International and Miss Grand Vietnam, on Monday afternoon. The 26-year-old beauty queen, along with the 2022 Miss Grand Vietnam Doan Thien An along with some models, walked the runway showing off an ao dai collection created by designer Vu Lan Anh.

The traditional Vietnamese dresses were made from different materials such as silk, brocade and velvet.

Menin was the vedette of this show, wearing a large green ao dai and a Vietnamese turban. The beauty queen said that she knew about ao dai a long time ago, but didn’t have a chance to wear one until now.

In her first visit to Vietnam, Menin found “everything amazing.” She was impressed when she arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and many people welcomed her, which made her feel like she was back in her home country, Brazil.

Menin met 2021 Miss Grand International Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien again, when Tien passed the crown to her last year. “I love the beauty and the warmth of the people in this country,” she said.

Menin will participate in the promotion of the 2023 Miss Grand International as the 2022 winner before leaving Vietnam on Wednesday. She said she will come back when the pageant takes place in HCMC in October.

Miss Grand International, first held in 2013, will be held in Vietnam this year starting Oct. 25.
