While leaving a traffic police office in HCMC Wednesday, the driver of a five-seat car plowed into a fire hydrant before crashing into a wall and hitting five motorbikes.

The 35-year-old man drove the car out of an office of An Suong Traffic Police Division in District 12 at around 10 a.m. after coming to get a license plate for it.

The accident damaged both the front and back of the car while water from the fire hydrant caused traffic jam on a section along National Highway 22.
