VnExpress Marathon Imperial Hue 2022 reveals medal

The medal design was inspired by Hue’s historic sites, with Thien Mu Pagoda, Hien Nhon Gate and Truong Tien Bridge dedicatedly intertwined in the word “Hue” with subtle drawings, leaving royal imprints.

This year’s medal has rectangular shape, 86 mm long, 78 mm wide, and is made of steel with a bronze color that is reminiscent of Hue citadel.

The back of the medal is marked with the race name “VnExpress Marathon Imperial Hue” and the word “Finisher”.

At the VnExpress Marathon Hue 2020, thousands of athletes went past Thien Mu, a 400-year-old pagoda.

The medals and the real Truong Tien Bridge. Organizers said VnExpress Marathon Imperial Hue is built to carry the “soul” of the ancient capital, and above all, honor the efforts of all athletes.

The image of a fan in Hue’s royal court music, which also appeared in last year’s medal, is encraved on this year’s medal, highlighting traditional values preserved through generations.

There are different colors for bands that go with the medals for parcicipants of the 5 km, 10 km, 21 km, 42 km race: orange, purple, green charcoal, and deep turquois, respectively.
VnExpress Marathon Imperial Hue 2022, co-hosted by VnExpress and Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee, will commence on April 10.
