Mountainous locations like Sa Pa in Lao Cai Province would see temperatures of 3-9 degrees before Tet, and 5-10 degrees during the festival.

Central regions are expected to get scattered rains during Tet. The region between Thua Thien-Hue and the north will have temperatures of up to 24 degrees, while between Da Nang and Quang Ngai the maximum will be 27 degrees and between Binh Dinh and Binh Thuan, 31 degrees.
