VPBank VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight releases medals

Made from steel alloy, the medal measures 96 x 90 mm with drawings inspired by the urban imprint of the southern region.

Images of the historical Ben Thanh Market and Mong Bridge were placed at the center of the medal.

The Bitexco Tower and other buildings of the new era were recreated on an emerald background.

The organizers said that every detail on the medal was chosen to tell the story of a city that has a rich history and at the same time is moving towards modern transformation and prosperity. To own a medal, runners can register for the race here.

The second edition of VnExpress Marathon in Ho Chi Minh City is set for March 3.

The back of the medal has a seal symbol bearing the letter “G,” short for “great.”

Runners who participate in all VnExpress Marathon tournaments in 2024 will complete a series of secret letters, assembled through medals.

“The designs correspond to the number of prizes in 2024. Eight medals complete a special message,” the organizers said.

The VnExpress Marathon is the largest running race system in Vietnam. In 2023, it was held in eight cities with seven marathons and an aquathlon, attracting nearly 75,000 participants.

This year, beside selling single tournaments, the organizers also apply discounts for runners participating in multiple tournaments: a 5% discount for two races; 8% for three; 12% for four; 15% for five; 20% for six; and 25% for seven.
