Vietnam’s former and current star footballers and celebrities will play the legends of German football club Borussia Dortmund in a charity match later this month.
The Vietnam All Stars team include many contemporary players, former famous footballers and celebrities, including Le Huynh Duc, Pham Van Quyen, Le Cong Vinh, Le Quoc Vuong, Que Ngoc Hai, Do Hung Dung, Ngo Hoang Thinh, musicians Hoang Bach, Anh Khoa and Nguyen Van Chung.
The Dortmund team bring together club legends like Jan Koller, Roman Weidenfeller, Karl-Heinz Riedle, Julio Cesar, Dedé, Marcel Schmelzer, Norbert Dickel, Evanílson, Kevin Großkreutz, Jorg Heinrich, David Odonkor, Patrick Owomoyela, Miroslav Stevic, Ibrahim Tanko, Mladen Petic and Mohammed Zidan.
All proceeds from ticket sales (VND100,000 or $4.25 a ticket), sponsorship and financial support information for the “True Love” campaign are available at thiennguyen.app website.
The charity campaign was organized by Next Media, the Vietnam Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City and Dortmund to raise funds to support children who lost parents or face other difficulties due to Covid-19.
The match between Vietnam All Stars and Dortmund Legends will take place at 7 p.m. on Sept. 28 in Thong Nhat Stadium, Hanoi.
