Thailand surpasses Vietnam, Cambodia in world’s 100 most loved hotels ranking


Thailand has five representatives while Cambodia and Vietnam have two each in a list of the 100 most loved hotels in the world as voted by readers of American magazine Travel+Leisure.

In Thailand, Hyatt Regency Koh Samui ranked 40th, followed by Mandarin Oriental (Bangkok) at 44th, Capella Bangkok at 48th, Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River at 64th and The Standard at Hua Hin at 81st.

Cambodia’s Park Hyatt Siem Reap ranked fourth and the other representative was Rosewood Phnom Penh at 30th.

Two Vietnamese representatives on the list were Alma Resort Cam Ranh at 9th and New World Phu Quoc Resort at 90th.

The ranking is part of the annual World Best Awards that were cast by 700,000 votes.

Hotels were rated on criteria such as facilities, location, quality of service, food and value.

The Oberoi Rajvilas in India was named the world’s most loved hotel, followed by La Casa de la Playa in Mexico.
