Bus duo occupy road to prevent rival bus from crossing

Two buses of a passenger transport company ran slowly side by side on a street in central Vietnam to prevent a competitor’s bus from moving ahead, resulting in slow traffic for dozens of other vehicles.

The two buses of Hoang Phuong Transport Company occupied the road in Thach Thanh District of Thanh Hoa Province on March 1, preventing a 16-seat bus from crossing, according to camera footage from one of the drivers affected by the feud.

A representative of Hoang Phuong said the 16-seat bus had stolen its passengers, so its two buses wanted to ask the 16-seat bus’s driver “to stop for a talk.”

No talk was recorded in the video as the blockage attempt stopped after 10 minutes and the traffic was cleared.

Local residents said the sight was not uncommon on the road.
