The artist’s Instagram account crossed this number on Tuesday, as reported by The Straits Times.
She now stands as the second Asian female artist to reach this follower count on Instagram, following Israeli actress Gal Gadot.
Born Pranpriya Manoban in Thailand, Lisa, 26, made her debut with the South Korean girl group Blackpink in 2016.
She launched a simultaneous solo career in 2021 with the release of her album “Lalisa.”
“Money,” one of the four tracks presented in her solo album, surpassed 1 billion streams on music streaming platform Spotify, making her the first female K-pop artist to release a song with as many streams.
The star has also established her name in the fashion industry as a global ambassador for various luxury brands, including Celine and Bulgari.
