Seventy-nine years ago, the August Revolution ushered in a new era for Việt Nam. Led by the visionary Hồ Chí Minh and the Indochinese Communist Party, the Vietnamese people united against a formidable foe, overcoming immense hardship to achieve independence (September 2, 1945).
