Taxi operator Vinasun will sack a deputy director who has been with it for 19 years as it seeks to restructure to shrug off the impacts of Covid-19.
The loss-making HCMC company will terminate its contract with Nguyen Thi Dang Thu, 48, at the end of February.
Thu had taken over as deputy director in charge of the company’s call center in 2016.
Vinasun said that due to the Covid situation it has to scale down its business and restructure its management.
After Thu departure, its management board will have a director and eight deputy directors.
She will receive a one-time unemployment subsidy of VND46 million.
As of September last year, Vinasun had accumulated losses of VND188 billion ($8.23 million) after making losses for seven quarters in a row.
Its revenues plunged by half in the first nine months last year to VND395 billion.
