To cleanse my body and lose weight, I currently consume mostly fruit juice in addition to a small intake of solid meals. Dear doctor, will this be effective? Answer:

Fruits are an essential part of a healthy, balanced diet. They are filled with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Juices, smoothies, and other detox drinks are frequently used by many people as part of a weight-loss diet because it’s convenient and also beneficial for the body. However, cutting down on food intake and replacing it with too much juice can be harmful.

Fruit contains a natural sugar called fructose. If you drink too much fruit juice, fructose intake will increase blood sugar, leading to other health problems such as weight gain and diabetes. Many people even add more sugar to fruit juice for a better taste, so drinking too much is not good.

Moreover, during the juicing process, most of the solid components in the fruits such as seeds and pulps are removed, leading to a loss of fiber. This may affect the digestive system, especially when drinkers are hungry.

Even while fruit juice contains a lot of vitamins, the body does not necessarily get all the nutrients it needs just by drinking fruit juice. The body will become weaker and less energetic if you reduce the amount of energy-producing foods in your diet, such as starches, vegetables, meat, and fish. This will also disturb your metabolism, lower your body’s resistance, and harm both your physical and mental health.

Each person must supply the body with an adequate amount of energy depending on the sort of work they do. Your basic energy need is specifically the minimum threshold that enables the heart, lungs, brain, and other organs to operate normally while we are sleeping or not doing anything.

Eating a variety of foods, reducing food intake slightly, and including exercise into the weight loss process are three key components of a healthy, effective weight loss approach. This plan must be sustained for at least six months.
