Vietnam bodybuilders lift gold at Asian tournament

Dinh Kim Loan claimed victory in the women’s individual gold medal event, while Tran Hoang Duy Thuan won the youth and doubles events with Bui Thi Thoa.

So far, Vietnam have won four gold, eight silver and four bronze medals in the tournament. The athletes still have two more competition days to score medals.

The 54th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship takes place from July 15 to 22 in Maafushi Island, Maldives. This year’s tournament features 400 athletes from 23 countries and territories.

Vietnam sent a delegation of 19 athletes to compete at the event. Among them, Loan is a well-known bodybuilder in the community with many international accolades. In SEA Games 31 hosted by Vietnam in May, Loan also won gold.
