3,123 COVID-19 cases recorded on Monday

HÀ NỘI — The health ministry announced 3,123 new COVID-19 infections on Monday, including one imported case.

The capital city of Hà Nội had the highest daily caseload with 761 infections reported.

The remaining transmissions were detected in Phú Thọ (185), Yên Bái (176), Quảng Ninh (151), Bắc Ninh (150), Tuyên Quang (132), Vĩnh Phúc (124), Lào Cai (123), Nghệ An (116), Hưng Yên (101), Thái Bình (92), Quảng Bình (73), Thái Nguyên (71), Bắc Kạn (70), Hà Tĩnh (68), Đà Nẵng (61), Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu (50), Hải Dương (47), Cao Bằng (47), Lâm Đồng (45), Sơn La (31), Ninh Bình (29), Hà Giang (28), Lạng Sơn (28), Thanh Hóa (28), Hà Nam (28), Hồ Chí Minh City (26), Nam Định (23), Bình Phước (22), Phú Yên (21), Quảng Ngãi (20), Quảng Trị (20), Cà Mau (18), Quảng Nam (17), Bình Dương (15), Gia Lai (14), Lai Châu (13), Điện Biên (13), Đồng Nai (13), Hòa Bình (12), Hải Phòng (11), Tây Ninh (11), Bến Tre (9), Khánh Hòa (7), Bạc Liêu (5), Bình Thuận (3), Trà Vinh (3), Thừa Thiên Huế (2), Long An (2), Vĩnh Long (2), Đồng Tháp (2), Kiên Giang (2) and Cần Thơ (1).

The seven-day average of new daily infections across the country is currently at 5,938.

Việt Nam’s total COVID-19 caseload now stands at 10,656,649, ranking 14th of 225 countries and territories worldwide.

A total of 1,090 COVID-19 patients were given the all-clear on Monday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 9,265,456 since the start of the pandemic.

475 seriously ill COVID-19 patients are in treatment, including two on life support.

There were two COVID-19 related deaths recorded on Monday in Đồng Nai Province and Hà Nam Province, putting the total fatalities nationwide at 43,044, or 0.4 per cent of infections.
