Other most searched international routes were New Delhi-London, Chennai-Singapore, Mumbai-Dubai, Mumbai-Male and New Delhi-Bali, Financial Express reported citing data from India-based travel platform ixigo that analyzed the frequency of flight searches for travel between Oct. 1 and 7.
“For international travel, budget-friendly destinations like Vietnam are becoming a popular pick for Indians,” the newspaper said.
Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, is one of the biggest festivals observed by the Hindu community in the country.
This year, Dussehra is going to be celebrated on Oct. 5.
Since March, Vietnam has allowed quarantine-free entry and resumed its pre-pandemic visa policies. Indians can apply for e-visas to enter the country.
In the first nine months of this year, Vietnam received 61,000 Indian tourists, according to statistics from the Vietnam National Tourism Administration.
There were about 200,000 Indian visitors to Vietnam in 2019.
