US Olympic gymnasts’ outfits decorated with 15,000 crystals

American gymnasts like Simone Biles and Suni Lee wore bodysuits embellished with thousands of crystals at the 2024 Olympic women’s all-around finals.

On Thursday they wore USA Elegance bodysuits designed by GK Elite featuring a total of 15,000 Swarovski crystals.

Hmong-American athlete Suni Lee wore a red, white and dark blue outfit with red crystals inspired by the national flag.

Details included the French-inspired blue trim along the sleeves and back, combined with a corset-style hem and 5,000 crystals, Page Six reported. Lee ended her all-around event with a score of 14.866, which fetched her a bronze medal.

Biles, 27, also wore a similar outfit. Designer Jeanne Diaz describes the inspiration for the bodysuit as a combination of “high fashion and patriotism.”

Biles has won two gold medals so far in Paris. During her victory celebrations, she showed off a goat necklace with 546 diamonds made by Janet Heller Fine Jewelry.

She had the piece custom-designed, representing dedication, perseverance and inspiration for generations.

Biles is often called the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) in women’s gymnastics. She won individual gold medals in the all-around, team, vault, and floor exercises at Rio Olympics in 2016.

Biles’ all-around victory in Paris marked her ninth Olympic medal, including four golds.

Before that she and her teammates also won gold in the women’s team all-around final with 171.296 points.

Italy and Brazil won the silver and bronze medals.

Known for her ability to perform the most difficult moves, Biles pioneered the double somersault in the air, which is named after her.

In addition to the nine Olympic medals, she also has 30 world championship medals.

Lee, 21, was born in Minnesota. Her mother is Yeev Thoj, who was born and raised in Laos. She is one of the stars in Paris after her gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
