A group of Vietnamese men had a fight with two foreigners in Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem District on Sunday, with alcohol possibly involved.
Police of Hoan Kiem District said the fight happened on Hang Buom Street at around 1:30 a.m. Two foreigners, whose identity have not been verified, showed signs of drunkenness and started to verbally fight with a group of locals sitting on the sidewalk. A physical confrontation occurred afterwards.
The Vietnamese group threw beer cans and plastic chairs towards a foreigner. The foreign man blocked the projectiles at first, but then also retaliated against one person in the Vietnamese group.
No one decided to report to authorities after the scuffle. But due to the fact that the fight has to do with foreigners, police of Hoan Kiem District has launched an investigation to figure out the cause.
