Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift’s fans have gotten on the United Overseas Bank (UOB) card registration bandwagon, aiming to get access to the concert tickets presale exclusively for the bank’s cardholders.

After the bank announced that its cardholders in various Southeast Asian countries can access the Ticketmaster portal to buy Swift’s Singapore “The Eras Tour” concert tickets starting July 5, which is 48 hours earlier than the general public sale starting July 7, the number of people signing up to get their hands on its cards surged across the region, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.
Daily average credit card applications across Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam jumped 45% compared to earlier in June, while debit card applications in Singapore and Vietnam increasing by almost 130%.
Singapore is the only Southeast Asian country on the tour as of July 5, 2023, with a total of six shows announced, making Swift the first solo act to schedule three, four, five, and six shows at Singapore National Stadium on a single tour.
Ticket prices for the shows, which are scheduled to take place on March 2-4 and 7-9, 2023, range between S$108-$348 (around US$80-$257).
