Canadian travel magazine The Travel listed a hotel in the northern highlands tourist town of Sa Pa as one of 10 “coolest capsule hotels” in the world, thanks to its low prices and magnificent views.
Sapa Capsule Hotel, around a three-minute walk from downtown, has 48 single and double Japanese -style “capsule” rooms.
“The pods are private and comfortable and make the perfect base for exploring the scenery of Sa Pa,” The Travel said.
The hotel is not far from popular tourist attractions in Sa Pa such as the Stone Church, Ham Rong Mountain and Mount Fasipan, which is Vietnam’s highest peak and a heaven for trekkers.

Sapa Capsule room rates start from VND220,000 ($9.33) a night.
Capsule hotels, also known in the Western world as pod hotels, have thrived in Japan by offering small bed-sized rooms at affordable prices.
Capsule hotels provide discounted, basic overnight accommodation for guests who do not require or who cannot afford larger, more expensive rooms offered by more conventional hotels.
The Travel’s list was voted on by readers of the magazine and also includes Avagard Capsule Hotel and Nonze Hostel in Thailand, Dream Lodge in Singapore, The Nap Mong Kok Capsule Hotel in Hong Kong and IzZzleep Aeropuerto Terminal 1 in Mexico.
Others were Nap York’s 24/7 Sleep Station in the U.S., Pod Inn in Australia and JUCY Snooze Christchurch in New Zealand.
