Netflix, a worldwide streamer of movies and TV shows, has revealed the first photos of its upcoming movie ‘A Tourist’s Guide to Love’ that was filmed in Vietnam.
It shows the Thu Bon River in Hoi An, UNESCO heritage site My Son Sanctuary, Ben Thanh Market in HCMC, and Ha Giang Province in the far northern mountains.

“A Tourist’s Guide to Love” would be on Netflix from April 27.
Directed by American film and television director Steven Tsuchida, it is the first foreign production to film in Vietnam since the Covid pandemic.
Written by Vietnamese-American Eirene Donohue and inspired by her travels to explore her roots, the story follows a travel executive who experiences an unexpected breakup and decides to accept an assignment to learn about the tourist industry in Vietnam.
Along the way she finds adventure and romance with her Vietnamese expat tour guide when they decide to hijack the tour bus to explore life and love off the beaten path.
The movie will feature stars like American actress Rachel Leigh Cook, Vietnamese-American actor Scott Ly and Vietnamese actresses Truc Tran and Le Thien.
Rachael Leigh Cook, the main character and producer of the movie, said the film “presents a compelling love letter to Vietnam in all its glory, with heart and humor.”
The 44-year-old has featured in movies like ‘The Baby-Sitters Club’ (1995), ‘She’s All That’ (1999), and ‘Into the West’ (2005).
