Last day to buy Super Early Bird tickets for VnExpress Marathon 2024 races

Except for the Ho Chi Minh City Midnight Marathon, VnExpress Marathon is selling Super Early Bird tickets with the biggest discounts for races in Hue (April 24), Quy Nhon (June 26), Da Nang (July 14), Nha Trang (August 11), Ha Long (Sept. 8) anh Hai Phong (Dec. 12).

At Hue, the bib prices for distances of 5, 10, 21 and 42 km are VND590,000, VND790,000, VND1.05 million and VND1.25 million respectively.

The races in Quy Nhon, Da Nang, Ha Long, Nha Trang and Hai Phong have the same price range: VND690,000 for 5 km, VND890,000 for 10 km, VND1.09 million for 21 km, and VND1.29 million for 42 km.

The ticket prices will increase after Jan. 31 as the event switches to the Early Bird phase. The prices for ticket combo will also increase as the competition date approaches. For combo, runners enjoy 5% off when buying two races, 8% off for three races, 12% off for four races, 15% off for five races, 20% off for six races, and 25% off for seven races. The combo policy only applies for individual runners, not for groups or in conjunction with other promotions. Runners must register on the event website and make payments through online platform (cards, e-wallets,…)

Each runner can purchase multiple combos, but can only choose one combo per purchase and cannot cancel or change the packages once payment is complete. Runners are still entitled to information change policies as regulated by the organizers.

Thousands of runners have bought the seven-race combo for all races in the 2024 VM system. The year’s opening tournament, VPBank VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight, has concluded its first ticket sales phase. After 20 days of selling Early Bird Bibs, the organizers recorded 8,000 registered runners. More than half of them chose the 21 and 42 km distances. The 5 and 10 km distances attracted many runners aged 12-18 participating with their families.

This year, full-marathon runners of all VM races will be ranked by Abbott World Marathon Majors and have a chance to join the 6th Age Group World Championships. VnExpress Marathon will send the records of athletes participating in the 42 km distance to Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda.

The results will be ranked with athletes from across the world in the AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Rankings leaderboard. Qualified athletes in various age groups will be invited to participate in the 2025 World Championship. The result is based on the fastest time in a VnExpress Marathon event.
