Japanese supermodel Yano Shiho has come to Vietnam following a collaboration invitation from 2019 Miss Universe second runner-up Pham Hong Thuy Van.
Shiho wore a simple outfit on her arrival Tuesday night in Ho Chi Minh City with an off-shoulder top and denim pants. At 46, she still has healthy skin and a youthful look. Shiho said she’s excited to experience Vietnamese culture in the next few days.
“When I met Shiho Yano, I was inspired by Japanese culture, as well as her lifestyle and beauty tips,” Thuy Van said. “We share a similarity in lifestyle, which aims for sustainability and changing habits to take better care of ourselves.”
Shiho started her modeling career in 1984. She attracted a large number of followers for her green and eco-friendly lifestyle and caring for herself by natural methods, including yoga and meditation. Her book, “Shiho Yano Self-Care,” which included 47 beauty tips for women from 20-40, is a best seller in Japan.
Thuy Van, 29, finished third at the 2015 Miss International in Japan. Four years later, she became the second runner-up of the 2019 Miss Universe pageant.
