Orr told the South China Morning Post he hopes his team can create some chances and score some goals in the friendly match in Vietnam’s home ground.

Orr, 1.88-m tall, started as a winger, but gradually evolved to a goal poacher. He has been learning from Poland striker Robert Lewandowski, English striker Harry Kane and especially Norwegian goal machine Erling Haaland who scored 52 goals and helped Manchester City win the treble this season.

“Recently I’ve watched all their goals,” Orr said.

It has been nine matches since Hong Kong last scored, which was the 3-0 win over Cambodia in the Asian Cup qualifiers in June last year.

Vietnam will play Hong Kong at 7:30 p.m. (Hanoi time) on Thursday.

Although this is just a friendly, it’s the first match of the Vietnam national team under the new coach Philippe Troussier. Fans are eager to see what changes Troussier brings to the team.

The game will be reported live on VnExpress International.
