Hong Kong diva Faye Wong’s daughter undergoes cleft lip and palate surgery

According to Sinchew, Li Yan recently shared a photo on social media in which she appears lying on an operating table, her eyes closed, wearing an oxygen mask, and with a stabilizing frame around her nose extending to her forehead, taped at the chin. Accompanying the photo, she included a caption about a small boat that had weathered a storm.

Her post sparked a discussion among netizens, with some suggesting this could be the concluding chapter of her surgeries for cleft lip and palate. Since birth, Li Yan has undergone treatment for her condition and has already completed three surgeries.

In addition to enduring multiple surgeries, she has faced ridicule and gossip. Nonetheless, she maintains an optimistic and active presence on social media, where she frequently posts photos.

Now 18, Li Yan grew up surrounded by the love of her parents and a sister. Due to her condition, Li Yapeng and Faye Wong established a fund to help other children with similar issues.

She has been attending an international school in Switzerland since 2019, living comfortably with her parents’ financial support, and has been seen spending significant amounts on shopping.

Li Yapeng, 53, was formerly a leading actor in China, renowned for his roles in TV series and films such as “The Singer” (1997), “Laughing in the Wind” (2001), “The Legend of the Condor Heroes” (2003), and “Eternal Moment” (2011).

After a successful acting career, he ventured into business in 2011. Li Yapeng and Faye Wong were married in 2005 and divorced in 2013.

Li Yapeng then married Chinese model Haiha Jinxi, 34, in 2022, and they have a two-year-old daughter.

Faye Wong, now 55, rekindled a relationship with her former boyfriend, Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse, in 2014. They have maintained a strong relationship since then.
