Hanoi hotels where Blackpink, Tim Cook stayed named among Asia’s best

As part of the annual World’s Best Awards, hotels were voted based on 700,000 votes of readers that rated cities on criteria such as rooms, location, service, food and value.

Located on Le Phung Hieu Street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, Capella Hanoi has 47 rooms and suites, each individually styled with operatic artifacts and custom portraiture that pay tribute to legendary Opera artists, composers, designers and performances.

A night’s stay costs from VND10.7 million (US$420) per person.

Last year, South Korean girl group Blackpink stayed in the hotel’s luxury rooms costing up to VND30 million (US$1,260) a weekend night during their first-ever shows in Vietnam on July 29-30.

Opened in 1901, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi hotel is known as a miniature Paris in the heart of Hanoi.

Apple CEO Tim Cook stayed at the Sofitel Legend Metropole, during his two-day visit to Hanoi in April.

The hotel has 364 rooms carrying features of French architecture.

A night’s stay costs from VND7.9 million.

The highest room rate of the hotel costs at VND170 million (US$6,700), the most expensive among city hotels in Vietnam. Most hotel rooms that cost more than VND100 million belong to riverside or coastal resorts.
