Linh gained attention with a Facebook post on Tuesday, which said: “My daughters, I’m sorry for not being able to provide you a complete life.”
“I have had enough the past four years, from now on, let us mother-and-daughter take care of each other till the end of our lives. He has never deserved to be called a father.”
The same evening, Dung responded to the post, clarifying that Linh’s Facebook account was hacked and she did not write the post. He said that he and Linh were good and they were asking authorities to support them in finding the hacker’s identity
This is not the first time Dung has got in trouble because of his wife’s posts on social media.
In 2020, Linh implied Dung was “inconsiderate” and called herself “a single mother.” Dung then explained that Linh was just “being a little bit upset.”
Dung, 28, plays as a center back for the Vietnam national team and Viettel FC in the top tier of Vietnamese football.
Linh, 26, is operating her family business after studying abroad in Singapore.
The couple got engaged in 2019 and married in 2021.
