Cebu Pacific to resume flights to Hanoi next month

Filipino budget carrier Cebu Pacific announced it would resume regular flights between Manila and Hanoi from next month.

The carrier said it plans to operate three weekly flights on the Manila-Hanoi route from May 2 as part efforts to revive its international flight network, Philstar newspaper reported.

From January to April, Cebu Pacific restarted flights on six international routes connecting Manila with Bangkok, Fukuoka, Jakarta, Dubai, Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently, it operates one weekly flight every Tuesday between Manila and HCMC.

Early this month, the Philippines started accepting fully vaccinated foreign travelers and offering quarantine-free entry. It also allowed visitors to freely travel to reopened destinations around the country.

Vietnam also reopened inbound tourism from March 15 and allowed quarantine-free entry after nearly two years of border closures.

Foreigners entering Vietnam only need to furnish a negative Covid-19 test certificate.
