Bridgestone Vietnam has completed the construction of the Suoi Da Bridge in Gia Lai Province, as part of its commitment to ensuring accessibility and dignity for all.
Bridgestone Tire Sales Vietnam LLC (Bridgestone Vietnam) held a ceremony on June 9 to inaugurate the bridge in Phu My village, Ia Bang Commune, Chu Prong District, Gia Lai.
This is the ninth bridge completed by Bridgestone Vietnam as part of the company’s “Bridge to Knowledge” initiative in the country.
The Suoi Da bridge is 27 meters long, 3.1 meters wide, and 5 tons in weight.
Starting in 2019, the project aims to provide children in remote and disadvantaged areas with a safe and joyful route to school, especially during the rainy season, ensuring equal access to education.
Residents will also enjoy an easier and safer route to access the market, administrative buildings, and a medical center thanks to the new bridge.

“First of all, the newly built bridge will not only help local community travel safely and travel more conveniently, but also help them save travelling, by shortening the lengthy detours of more than 10 km. Secondly, the students can have a safer road to school, not having to cross the spring and stumble across while doing so,” said Tran Quyet Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ia Bang Commune.
