A representative of the Miss Grand Vietnam and Miss World Vietnam beauty pageants has issued a warning after a number of contestants received fraudulent messages claiming they could manipulate contest results.
Pham Kim Dung, CEO of Sen Vang Entertainment and head organizer of the pageants wrote on Facebook Wednesday: “The organizers have been receiving reports from contestants who said they were contacted by people that pretended to be the organizers and offered them deals to cheat or do things to affect the results.”

“There are also people who pretended to be acquaintances of officials or celebrities, telling the contestants that they can interfere with the results. The organizers can affirm that these are acts of scammers trying to take advantage of the contestants and their families to benefit themselves,” she wrote.
She said the organizers would take legal action if these people keep affecting the contestants as well as the reputation of the pageant.
The 2023 Miss World Vietnam has finished its preliminary round and selected a total of 61 contestants for the main event.
The 2023 Miss Grand Vietnam and 2023 Miss Supranational Vietnam are also warming up. The 2023 Miss Grand International will be hosted in Vietnam in October this year.
