Angelina Jolie joins Vietnamese-born son for sushi

The mother-son duo appeared to be enjoying some quality one-on-one time as they were spotted at the
strip mall sushi joint Sushi Park on the evening of Jan. 24. Both were dressed modestly in black and
white, according to Page Six.

The Oscar-winning actress has been developing her sustainable fashion brand Atelier Jolie. Talking to the
fashion magazine Vogue in September 2023, Jolie said Pax was heavily involved in helping her with the
fashion brand. In 2022, Pax also worked behind the scene on Jolie’s movie Without Blood.

Pax Thien, 20, was abandoned by his biological mother shortly after he was born in Ho Chi Minh City. He was then sent to a local orphanage, where people gave him the Vietnamese name Pham Quang Sang. He lived there until he was adopted by Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt in 2007.

He is now working as a visual artist whose works have strong abstract influences.

Jolie, 48, started dating her ex-husband film star Brad Pitt, 60, in 2005. Getting married in 2014, the couple split two years later following Jolie’s initial divorce filing.

They have been embroiled in a legal battle over the custody of their six children since then. The children include Maddox, Pax Thien, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox Jolie-Pitt.

Along with Pax Thien, Maddox and Zahara were adopted from orphanages in Cambodia and Ethiopia respectively. Meanwhile, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox are the couple’s biological children.

Jolie was granted physical custody of the children, while Pitt was given joint custody in 2021. However, it is reported that the tug-of-war is still not completely settled.
