LIVE/World Cup qualifiers: Vietnam 2-0 China

Ho Tan Tai opened the score for Vietnam in the 9th minute and Nguyen Tien Linh doubled it in the 16th as they play China in the 2022 World Cup qualification in Hanoi.

    Captain Do Hung Dung set up Ho Tan Tai for a header with a pinpoint cross from the left flank and China keeper couldn’t do anything but watched the ball goes in. 1-0 for Vietnam!

Vietnam have lost against China in all seven previous encounters, scoring five goals and conceding 23.

Vietnam are still looking for the first point after losing all seven games in the final round of World Cup qualifiers so far.

For China, their chance of qualifying for the World Cup 2022 was also over as they only earned five points after seven matches.

In the first leg last year, Vietnam lost 2-3 to China with Wu Lei scoring the late winning goal.
