Should I choose the one who loves me or the one whose income doubles mine?

I’m 27, currently working for a foreign company with a monthly income of VND40 million (US$1,579).

Among the two men pursuing me, the first man, who is a year younger than me, is adorable and funny. When I’m with him, I’m always happy, and all the stress from work disappears. Although I’ve lived in Hanoi for nearly 10 years, my life has mostly been about studying and working. Since meeting him, I’ve discovered a whole new world, experiencing many exciting places in Hanoi that he has introduced me to.

He also takes me on winding roads through the northern provinces, always with a group of mutual friends. We try staying in local homes and camping by the roadside. Honestly, I am very excited when I’m with him.

However, he is a freelancer, and his monthly income is just enough to cover living expenses in Hanoi. Whenever we go out or eat, we have to share the costs, or I take the initiative to pay.

The second man is seven years older than me. He has a quiet, calm demeanor, as he never argues and just listens and indulges my interests. Whenever he invites me out, he often takes me to gentle and quiet coffee spots for introverts. All my work and life troubles are met with his advice, guidance, or support if needed.

Being with him makes me feel small, reassured, and protected, like a younger sister. He also has many connections in various fields and earns twice as much as I do. If I were to start a family with him, I wouldn’t have to worry about finances.

I haven’t accepted either of their love confessions yet, but listening to my heart, I want to be with the first guy. However, my mind advises me to be with the second man who has a good income for a peaceful life. Honestly, I am very confused and don’t know whom to choose.

Should I prioritize reason over my heart, choosing someone who loves me over someone who can help me have a stable career for a better future?
