Budget airlines Scoot and AirAsia have been offering discounts for flights connecting to popular tourist destinations across Asia-Pacific until July 7.
Singapore’s Scoot is offering flights to destinations such as China’s Hangzhou City, Australia’s Perth, Malaysia’s Penang and Japan’s Osaka from S$71 (US$53) one way, The Straits Times reported.
Malaysia-based AirAsia runs flights to Southeast Asia’s popular places such as Bali, Bangkok, Phuket and Langkawi from S$51 one way.
AirAsia said the carrier is also offering medium- and long-haul flights from $121 to Almaty in Kazakhstan, Chiang Mai in Thailand,Japan’s Tokyo, China’s Shanghai and Australia’s Melbourne, via transit at either Kuala Lumpur International Airport or Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport.
In June, AirAsia was named the world’s best low-cost carrier at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024 while Scoot came in second.
Scoot also bagged the world’s best long-haul low-cost carrier award at the ceremony.
