Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index dropped 0.08% to 1,053.35 points Tuesday.
The index closed 0.86 points lower after gaining 2.77 points on Monday.
Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) increased by 14.00% percent to VND9.71 trillion ($404.58).
The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 13 tickers gain.
PLX of fuel distributor Petrolimex went up 3.8%, and ACB of Asia Commercial Bank increased by 1.52%. Meanwhile, STB of Ho Chi Minh City-based lender Sacombank rose 1.22%.
SAB of brewer Sabeco lost 1.95%, and CTG of state-owned lender VietinBank dropped 1.89%.
MSN of conglomerate Masan Group downed 1.14%.
Foreign investors were net buyers to the tune of VND435.79 billion.
The HNX-Index at the Hanoi Stock Exchange, where mid and small caps list, was up 0.46% while the UPCoM-Index at the Unlisted Public Companies Market was down by 0.34%.
