VnExpress Marathon HCMC Midnight’s T-shirts and finisher shirts have designs inspired by skyscrapers, the rising symbol of the city.
A month before the competition, VnExpress Marathon HCMC Midnight announced the official T-shirts with the main colors of black and yellow.
T-shirts will be given to 5 km and 10 km runners while runners covering the 21 and 42 kilometers can choose T-shirts or singlets.
For singlets, the contour is heat-pressed with advanced heating technology, allowing for a smooth fit during the lengthy runs.

The front of the T-shirts is printed with the tournament name, the VnExpress Marathon logo, the sponsor logo, and the “V” plaid pattern.
The back has a striped pattern that is reminiscent of Landmark 81, the city’s emblem.
The color yellow of the T-shirts symbolizes dynamism, freshness, and positive energy. The color is similar to the shade of the ochna mai blossoms, which represent spring in southern Vietnam. The color would stand out when runners run at midnight.

The 21km finisher shirt is navy blue, with the back printed with the words “Finisher – Half Marathon.” The shirt’s modern color represents the nonstop activity of Saigon.
The 42km shirt is “magenta-pink” in color and has the words “Finisher – Full Marathon” printed on it. The color of the shirt resembles the night sky.
In addition to the T-shirts, runners will also receive race-kit bags including soft drinks, nutritious food, and items from sponsors. Several Saigon specialties will be served in the post-race food court.

VnExpress Marathon HCMC Midnight will start at midnight on February 11. The opening tournament of VnExpress Marathon in 2023 is expected to attract 10,000 participants.
Running along the central routes will provide runners the chance to see some of Saigon’s most famous structures, including the Reunification Palace, Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, and Bach Dang Wharf.
The tournament will start at Tao Dan Park, and end at the Saigon Zoo. The distance between the two places, roughly 2 km, makes it easy for runners to reserve lodgings and move back.
Registration for the 42km race is available until January 17.
