1,457 new COVID cases recorded on Saturday

HÀ NỘI — There were 1,457 COVID-19 infections registered across Việt Nam on Saturday, bringing the country’s total tally to 10,707,568.

Hà Nội still tops the nation in terms of new daily infections, with 370 patients. 

The other new cases were reported in Nghệ An (95), Vĩnh Phúc (91), Phú Thọ (88), Quảng Ninh (61), Yên Bái (60), Tuyên Quang (57), Hải Phòng (44), Lào Cai (43), Thái Bình (42), Thái Nguyên (41), Bắc Kạn (37), Quảng Bình (34), Hồ Chí Minh City (33), Hưng Yên (32), Đà Nẵng (30), Nam Định (28), Hải Dương (28), Hà Tĩnh (22), Lâm Đồng (22), Hòa Bình (20), Hà Nam (18), Bình Phước (15), Lạng Sơn (15), Hà Giang (14), Sơn La (14), Thanh Hóa (13), Cao Bằng (12), Quảng Trị (11), Ninh Bình (9), Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu (8 ), Bình Thuận (7), Phú Yên (7), Thừa Thiên Huế (7), Lai Châu (6), Bắc Giang (6), Điện Biên (5), Bình Định (4), Tây Ninh (3), Khánh Hòa (2), Bình Dương (1), Đồng Tháp (1) and Cần Thơ (1).

There were no COVID-related deaths reported in Việt Nam on Saturday. Việt Nam’s COVID-19 death toll remains at 43,075, accounting for 0.4 per cent of total cases.

A total of 3,069 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number of recoveries to 9,393,101 since the pandemic began. 

About 219 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the country to date, of which approximately 3.4 million have been given to children aged 5 to 11. — VNS
