COVID cases continue to fall across the nation

HÀ NỘI — The health ministry announced 50,730 new COVID-19 infections on Sunday, a drop of 14,866 cases compare to yesterday.

Hà Nội continues to lead the daily total with 6,304 cases reported.

Thái Bình Province reported an additional 40,000 cases and Bắc Giang Province registered an additional 11,316 cases, after reviewing their management system.

The seven-day average of new infections in the country is currently 75,319. 

Việt Nam’s total COVID-19 caseload now stands at 9,818,328, ranking 12th of 227 countries worldwide.

A total of 74,608 COVID-19 patients were given the all-clear on Sunday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 7,787,962 since the start of the pandemic.

Almost 2,000 patients nationwide are seriously ill, including 15 on life support.

There were 37 COVID-19 related deaths recorded on Sunday, putting the total fatalities nationwide at 42,600, or 0.4 per cent of infections.

The death were in Kiên Giang (4), Bạc Liêu (3), Quảng Ninh (3), Bến Tre (2), Bình Dương (2), Hà Nội (2), Hà Tĩnh (2), Khánh Hòa (2), Lâm Đồng (2), Phú Yên (2), Sóc Trăng (2), Bắc Ninh (1), Bình Định (1), Bình Phước (1), Bình Thuận (1), Cần Thơ (1), Cao Bằng (1), Đồng Nai (1), Hải Dương (1), Phú Thọ (1), Thái Nguyên (1), and Vĩnh Long (1).
