VPBank to co-organize VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight 2024

The registration for the early stage tickets is open from Jan. 2.

A VPBank representative said that running is a culture and a strategy to promote “a prosperous Vietnam,” a spirit that the bank pursues. The bank has organized 11 major running events for the community in recent years and will continue the tradition by accompanying the Ho Chi Minh City midnight marathon this year.

VPBank and FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company (FPT Online), the organizer of the VnExpress Marathon race series, signed a cooperation agreement on Aug. 25, 2023.

VnExpress Marathon was the professional consulting and operating unit for the VPBank Hanoi International Marathon (VPIM) taking place in October, providing support in technologies and experience in organizing professional running tracks.

The VnExpress Marathon is the largest running race system in Vietnam. In 2023, seven marathons and one aquathlon were organized in eight cities, attracting nearly 75,000 participants.

Ho Chi Minh City Midnight was the opening tournament of the year, taking place in February and attracting more than 10,000 runners. The event featured an AIMS-standard running track, taking runners to conquer beautiful streets, pass iconic buildings, and enjoy the vibrant nightlife atmosphere of HCMC.

This year, with the companionship of VPBank, the VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight will have many new features.

“Cooperating with VPBank will contribute to raising the level of marathon events in the future,” a representative of VnExpress Marathon said.
