VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong 2023 to grant $41,200 awards

The top five men and women from the full marathon (42 km distance) will receive the final awards.

The male and female final champions will receive rewards worth VND36.5 million, including VND20 million in cash, a Garmin watch worth VND15.2 million, and a pair of Goya running shoes worth VND1.2 million.

The runner-ups will receive VND31.5 million, including VND15 million in cash, along with the watch and shoes.

Runners who come third, fourth, and fifth will receive VND18.5 million (VND12 million in cash), VND17.5 million (VND11 million in cash), and VND16.5 million (VND10 million in cash) and other items.

For the half marathon (21 km distance), the champion male and female runners will each receive awards worth a total of VND16.5 million. The second and third finishers will receive awards worth VND15.5 million and VND14.5 million, respectively. Rewards include cash and artifacts such as Garmin watches and Goya shoes.

For the distance of 10 km, the champion will receive a reward of VND5.2 million, the runner-up VND4.2 million, and the third finisher VND3.7 million.

The 5 km distance will reward VND4.2 million to the the first-place winner, VND3.2 million to the runner-up, and VND2.7 million to the third-place winner. See more details about the awards here.

There are also awards for groups’ top finishers. There are groups of runners under 30 years old, runners from 30 to 39, runners from 40 to 49, runners from 50 to 59 and runners over 60 years old. The prizes also include cash, Garmin watches, and Goya running shoes.

Group winners will receive awards worth between VND2.7 million and VND7.7 million.

All runners after completing the race according to regulations will receive medals. Half and full marathon runners will receive additional finisher shirts.

The VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong will take place on Dec. 17 with 11,000 athletes. The 42 km distance starts first, at 4 a.m., from the city center towards Do Son. The 21 km distance will start at 5:30 a.m. at Kim Long Square, Dragon Hill International Tourist Area (Do Son). The 5 km distance will start at 6 a.m. and 10 km distance 6:15 a.m.
