VinFast plans US, Europe electric car export in November

VinFast plans to ship 5,000 electric vehicles to the U.S., Canada and Europe in early November and deliver them to customers the following month.

The company made this announcement after handing over the first 100 VF 8 cars to the first batch of customers in Vietnam on Saturday.

It has received over 65,000 orders globally for its EVs so far.

VF 8 is an SUV that comes in two versions, Eco and Plus. The company claims the latter can run up to 400 kilometers on a full charge.

Earlier this year VinFast had said it would build a plant in North Carolina with an annual capacity of 150,000 EVs.

Vietnam’s first indigenous automaker will stop making gasoline-powered cars this year and go completely electric.
