Vietnam wants Indonesia hotline support for fishermen

The two sides agreed to step up cooperation in new areas such as digital transformation.

On issues related to the South China Sea, both sides reiterated their support to ASEAN’s central role and common stance and for all parties abiding by international laws and agreements.

Also on Tuesday Chinh met with his Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen.

The two leaders agreed to effectively implement bilateral agreements and help each other build their economies.

They agreed to mutually provide opportunities to businesses in the two countries, especially in areas such as border trade.

Chinh is participating in activities within the framework of the 42nd ASEAN Summit being held from May 9 to 11 at Labuan Bajo.

Leaders of ASEAN member countries and around 550 other delegates are participating in the event.
