Vietnam records 22,804 new Covid cases

The three localities with the highest numbers of cases are Hanoi with 1,942 cases, Yen Bai with 1,102 cases and Vinh Phuc with 915 cases, all in northern Vietnam.

On Tuesday, 28 deaths were added to the national database, raising the death toll since the start of the pandemic to 42,858 deaths, around 0.4 percent of all infections.

To date, 80.1 percent of Vietnam’s 96-million population have been fully vaccinated, while 53.3 percent have received their third Covid-19 vaccine shots.
