Vietnam records 114,125 new Covid cases

On Tuesday alone, Hanoi continues to account for most cases, at 13,323, followed by northern Quang Ninh Province with 4,011 and northern Bac Ninh Province with 3,933.

The additional cases in Ha Giang were detected in previous days but have not been added to the national database until now.

The ministry also confirmed another 86 Covid-19 deaths on Tuesday, raising the national death toll to 40,338, or 1.1 percent of the total infections.

For now, there are 965,486 active patients and 3,851 are severe.

Around 75.5 million people of Vietnam’s 96 million population have been vaccinated with two doses, including children aged from 12 to under 17, and around 40 million have received the third dose.
