Vietnam Party chief attends National Assembly’s extraordinary session

Half an hour before the opening, the NA held a preparatory session to approve the program of the 5th extraordinary session.

Nguyen Thi Thanh, Head of the Delegation Affairs Commission, presented the report of the Standing Committee of the NA on relieving Nguyen Van Thanh from his duties as a delegate of the 15th NA for the southern An Giang Province.

According to the session’s agenda, the delegates will listen to the report explaining, receiving feedback, and revising the draft amendment to Land Law and discuss this content on Monday morning.

At the end of the morning session, the presenting agency and the reviewing agency will explain and clarify some issues raised by the delegates.

In the afternoon, the NA will listen to the explanatory report and discuss the content with different opinions in the draft Law on Credit Institutions.

At the 5th extraordinary meeting lasting three days (Jan. 15-18, closed on Jan. 17), the NA will also consider and approve a draft resolution on a number of specific mechanisms and policies to resolve problems and remove difficulties to accelerate the implementation of national target programs.

The assembly will also consider plans to increase state capital for public projects in the 2021-2025 period.
