Vietnam defeat Malaysia 1-0 in extra time to enter SEA Games final

The only goal by Nguyen Tien Linh in extra time helped Vietnam claim victory over Malaysia in an intense SEA Games 31 semifinal.

    The time is up after an intense and tiring 120 minutes. Vietnam won 1-0 and will meet Thailand in the final of SEA Games 31 for the gold medal.

    From a freekick in the left flank by Hung Dung, the ball found Tien Linh’s head as he jumped higher than any other player to break the tie for Vietnam.

    Linh took his shirt off for celebration and received a yellow.
