The domestic case count of Vietnam’s ongoing Covid-19 wave has risen to 1,340, with 19 patients confirmed Tuesday morning in four northern localities.
Of them, 13 are in Hanoi, three in Ha Nam Province, two in Dien Bien Province, and one in Son La Province.
The cases in Hanoi are people related to previously confirmed Covid-19 patients.
In Ha Nam, the three cases are all linked to a known cluster and have already been isolated.

The patient in Son La is a female worker at Hosiden Vietnam Co. Ltd, which is currently a Covid-19 cluster in northern Bac Giang Province. She has become the first infection recorded in Son La in this new wave of community transmission.
Vietnam started suffering a new Covid-19 wave three weeks ago and infections have since then spread to 28 cities and provinces.
Of the cases, 396 are workers in industrial zones of eight localities, with 326 are in Bac Giang Province, which has recorded a total of 411 cases, according to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Ever since the pandemic broke out, the nation has registered 4,378 cases, including 2,668 recoveries and 37 deaths.
