Việt Nam records 3,819 COVID-19 cases on Friday

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam on Friday reported 3,819 new COVID-19 infections and six COVID-related deaths.

There were no imported cases reported. To date, the country’s total caseload is 10,670, 570.

The capital city of Hà Nội and the northern province of Phú Thọ saw the highest daily increases with 673 and 292 new cases respectively. 

The remaining transmissions were detected in Vĩnh Phúc (203), Bắc Ninh (174), Tuyên Quang (163), Nghệ An (145), Quảng Bình (129), Quảng Ninh (123), Bắc Giang (122), Nam Định (113), Yên Bái (107), Bắc Kạn (101), Lào Cai (94), Đà Nẵng (87), Hải Dương (79), Ninh Bình (77), Đắk Nông (73), Sơn La (69), Hà Nam (68), Thái Bình (65), Lạng Sơn (61), Thái Nguyên (59), Cao Bằng (54), Hồ Chí Minh City (47), Bình Phước (47), Hải Phòng (46), Hưng Yên (44), Hòa Bình (44), Hà Giang (41), Quảng Trị (41), Hà Tĩnh (39), Điện Biên (36), Thanh Hóa (34), Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu (32), Quảng Ngãi (30), Bình Định (25), Lai Châu (22), Bình Dương (18), Tây Ninh (18), Bình Thuận (16), Bến Tre (16), Long An (13), Vĩnh Long (13), Khánh Hòa (11), Thừa Thiên Huế (10), Phú Yên (9), Quảng Nam (9), Bạc Liêu (6), Kiên Giang (5), Trà Vinh (4), Đồng Nai (3), Cà Mau (3), Đồng Tháp (2), Hậu Giang (2), An Giang (1) and Cần Thơ (1).

The seven-day average of new daily infections across the country is currently 3,696.

The health ministry said 1,817 patients were declared recovered from the virus, bringing the number of recoveries in the country to 9,316,237.

480 COVID patients currently require oxygen, including two on life support.

There were six new COVID-related deaths, in Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu with five in three days, and Đồng Nai with one.

To date, the country has recorded 43,055 deaths, about 0.4 per cent of the confirmed caseload.

A total of 215,350,776 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered so far, including 196,263,356 doses in the adult population, 17,380,923 doses in children aged 12-17, and 1,706,497 doses in those aged 5-11. – VnExpress News
